Probably one of my favorite local places is where the Clarks Fork River empties into Lake Pend O'Reille. This delta area is a myriad of channels, cross channels and islands with an incredible mix of ducks, geese, elk, deer and moose. Whether you are kayaking it in the summer, duck hunting or fishing it in the fall, or just plain beachcombing, you will feel the magic there now as the Indians did who historically used it for hundreds of years.
